When choosing components for our house blend ‘Venus’ we decided to find something that works well as the complete blend but also as a stand alone coffee. this coffee hit the nail on the head. it’s malic acidity livens up the blend and compliments the dark chocolate notes of Fazenda do Armazem (our Brazil component in Venus) producing a very deep and balanced cup that was designed to be an all purpose coffee, whether its 12oz of milk in a latte, or as an espresso or long black - but Finca Hoya Frío deserves its own spotlight. Profiled as an Omni, however more on the lighter side than Venus, this is a perfect option for people that want to dip their toes in the world of filter coffee. Our go to at the roastery for our morning batch brew, expect notes of red apple, blackcurrant, milk chocolate and lemon.
